Florida home demolished due to a sinkhole
The article I chose for this week talks about the struggles of a family after one of their own disappeared in a sinkhole. This giant hole in the ground appeared out of nowhere and Jeff Bush fell right through. After long days, city officials decided to call off the search. They believe Jeff had no chance of surviving so long. The house is being torn apart to find way of filling the hole. The family is devastated.
The struggles this family faces now is finding a new place to live and moving on with their lives, both of which is going to be tough. I can't imagine what they must feel like. They will always have the question "What if". "What if" Jeff was still alive and they were giving up too early, "what if" they could have saved him... Not only so but having their home being destroyed publicly, along with most of their possessions, is not very comforting either.
The city officials also have to figure out a way of stopping the sinkhole from spreading. It seems to be growing in width and depth causing great distress. The struggle this creates is great since it is impossible to fill a hole if it keeps growing.
Unfortunately all we can do is wish them good-luck.
